Scholarships
First Community Foundation Scholarships
The First Community Foundation (FCFP) houses 12 Lycoming County scholarships and 11 Muncy High School only scholarships. You may find the full list of Muncy High School scholarships here and the full list of Lycoming County scholarships here.
All FCFP scholarships are accessed through the application portal on their website. The first step is to create a Login which consists of an email address and a password of your own selection. Please use a personal email address (not your MHS email) that you check regularly. Once you have an account, you may begin filling out the common application. When you submit the application you may not be finished with the application process because many scholarships require supplemental questions, a specific essay, or letter of recommendation or transcript to be uploaded.
The most important two things in this process are: Read and follow all directions and check your email regularly. A good thing to know is that when you go to your dashboard (by clicking on the house icon at top of page), if you see a link that says “Edit” you are not yet complete with that scholarship. If you see “View Application” you are complete.

Patrick W. Stauffer Memorial Scholarship
Who: Muncy senior furthering their education in the medical/health sciences fields

Sara Danae Dittmar Memorial Scholarship
Who: Muncy senior furthering their education in education or English/ journalism.

Sgt. John Carl LaRose Memorial Scholarship
Who: Muncy senior furthering their education in criminal justice, engineering, or other service careers such as healthcare and education

Patricia (Drick) Lamoreaux Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Who: Muncy senior furthering their education in nursing (BSN or LPN)

Muncy Valley Women of the Moose Scholarship
Who: Muncy senior furthering their education in any major

Muncy Lodge 299 Masons Scholarship
Who: Senior with academic achievement (80% or higher), school and community involvement, and financial need
Deadline: April 17, 2026

Edward Claudius Memorial Scholarship
Who: Lycoming County senior attending Penn State University Park or branch campus (Not Penn College).

Mary Ann Fox Scholarship
Who: Scholarship opens February 2 , 2026 – Senior attending one of these schools: Bucknell, Lock Haven, Lycoming, Penn College, Penn State

America 250 PA Scholarship
Who: Pennsylvania High School Seniors who are planning to attend an accredited Pennsylvania college or university for the 2026/2027 academic school year

First Commonwealth Bank College Scholarship
Who: Senior with a minimum 85% average who will graduate from certain counties, including Lycoming County.

Gladys Tozier Memorial Scholarship
Who: Senior in Lycoming County with financial need to attend college. Please note tax forms are required with this scholarship.
Deadline: March 12, 2026
How: Applications must be printed and then turned in to Mr. Berthold. Please use a sealed envelope to keep your tax information private. Application is here.
Hardisky Memorial Trappers Association Scholarship
Who: Senior planning continue education beyond high school. An essay about trapping is required.

Who: Must be a member in good standing of PALCO Federal Credit Union for at least 6 months.
