Classified Position

  • Muncy School District utilizes an electronic application process for individuals interested in obtaining employment. The two-step process involves an on-line component and an email component. Candidates need to complete both steps to be considered for employment.  

     

    Position:     Anticipated Elementary Office General Secretary

    Full-time, school year (10 month) position. The position provides clerical support to the elementary school office in a manner that is professional, diplomatic, and complies with confidentiality requirements. Qualifications include: high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Major responsibilities include: managing daily student attendance accounting, reporting and communications, using a computerized records management system; preparing staff attendance and related payroll reports; arranging for daily substitute teacher assignments; typing and distributing attendance and general office correspondence; providing clerical assistance to the elementary school principal. Must be computer literate, detail oriented and able to organize and manage priorities; must also demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills. Hourly salary rate with sick leave and pension. Hourly compensation is in accordance with the district classified staff compensation plan and prior experience.
