Academic Instructional Support (AIS) AIS is a class where students work on improving their independent work ethic and study skills. Students will have daily learning objectives that they will work to complete. The focus of the class will be on punctuality and self-initiation, organization, daily learning outcomes, participation and behavior, completion of assignments, and reviewing of academic subjects.
Teachers will work with students one on one and in small groups in studying for tests and quizzes, homework completion, and project completion. Students will use a checklist in class daily. The checklist will also serve as the rubric by which the students will be graded. A copy of the rubric can be found below.
In addition, students in AIS will be enrolled in a Google Classroom AIS section. Through Google Classroom, students can find links to study for upcoming tests and quizzes in their general education classes. Students will also track grades for their general education classes weekly using a template found in Google Classroom. Students can log into their AIS Google Classroom page by clicking here.7th Grade
