Financial aid is a general term that describes any source of student financial assistance outside the student or student's family; funds awarded to a student to help meet postsecondary educational expenses; generally awarded on the basis of financial need and include scholarships, grants, loans, and student employment.
Each year the Muncy Guidance Office partners with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) to conduct a Financial Aid Workshop. All families are welcome to attend this informative and free event. Marla Kane is the PHEAA contact for our county and the Powerpoint presentation she uses has valuable and topical information. In addition, the guidance office has support materials that correlate with her presentation. Students or parents are welcome to stop in any time during normal school hours to pick them up.
